Uke lesson 1 - Chunking

well is my attempt at a lesson. My first lesson is going to be for the Ukulele, I am going to show you how to chunk. This is a pretty basic and mandatory technique for the uke. It gives it a nice flavor and percussion sound. ok heres how to do it. What you do is you stum down using all left hand fingers, then mute the strings immediately with your palm. If done right, you will get a nice "Slap" sound. Practice using these chords in a simple progression.

Key:/=Down \=Up X=Chunk

Heres the Chords
C - F - G
Heres the Progression
/\X\/\X

Heres the whole thing
C F G
(/\X\/\X) (/\X\/\X) (/\X\/\X)

Heres what it should look and sound like

Practice that over and over again untill you feel that you have perfected it. Once your used to it, apply it to all of your strums and techniques and see what you come up with. Hope you had fun while learning this, theres much more to come. Next lesson will be on guitar. Ill keep you guys posted. Enjoy Chunking!

Well been writing some stuff for guitar and transcribing it to the uke, and vice versa. Doing this should help memorize notes, theory, and playability. Try this with your favorite songs. I'm also writing up my first lesson. It will be up by tuesday.
